Obituary of Jan Clark

Janice (Jan) M. Clark, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022 in Warner Robins, GA.  She was born November 18, 1933 in Washington, D.C. to the late Herman and Hilda Hollman and was the oldest sister to Joan Norris. 

Jan grew up in Maryland and is a graduate of Greenbelt High School.  She was devoted to helping others as shown through where she worked for many years at the YWCA Battered Women’s Shelter in Annapolis, MD where she retired.  Her passion for helping others continued when she moved to Warner Robins, GA in 2005 by contributing her time to church activities such as the Back to School Program and delivering Meals on Wheels to those in need in the local community.  

Jan enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends.  Her home could be described as a showcase of design.  She was very creative and excelled in Interior Design making each room beautiful with her special touches.  She attended Mount Calvary Lutheran Church located in Warner Robins, GA and was well known for her dedication to the church.  Jan truly lived a life to the fullest through simple pleasures and was always there for her children for either a word of advice or support.  She will be truly missed by family and her friends.
She is survived by her children:  Joette Campanello, Jann Cooksey, Jene (Patty) Thompson, Jack (Lisa) Thompson, Krag (Leigh) Woodyard and Kenneth (Marie) Woodyard;  Grandchildren:  Michele (Michael) Lohr, Patrick (Erin) Campanello, Jonathan Campanello, James (Erika) Cooksey, Tracy (Tim) Cooksey, Kayla Thompson, Kyle Thompson, Ryan (Megan) Woodyard, Tyler (Kaylee) Woodyard, Rachel Woodyard, Trevor Woodyard;  Great Grandchildren:  Markus, Connor, Ernesto, and Lilly.  

She is also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Karrie Woodyard.
