Obituary of Marvin Baptist

Perry, Georgia, Marvin Baptist, 71, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. A memorial service honoring the life of Marvin will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 1:00PM at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors being rendered.

Marvin was born on October 29, 1950 in Jamestown, Ohio. Marvin proudly served his country by serving in the United States Air Force. During his tenure in the military, Marvin inherited the importance of honor and integrity. Marvin was also a very relaxed individual who always found the good in all situations.

In Marvin’s free time he could often times be found fishing and playing chess with friends.

Left to cherish Marvin’s memory is his beloved sister Gwendolyn Felton, whom he loved dearly and cared for;  his only child Melinda Baptist; his niece Lisa Gunter and sibilings from Ohio, including Decosta Baptiste; cousins and friends who loved him like family.
