Dear Uncle Joes family, Sending all the love and light that we can muster. Uncle Joe was very near and dear to our hearts. I loved visiting him and Aunt Fran at their Farmhouse and have found memories of all the cookie jars and the gardens (with the exception of the hot pepper plants) We area blessed to have such a big loving family that took care of each other. Prayers to you all and know that Uncle Joe and Aunt Fran are reunited again!

Mary, JoAnn, Laura & Craig; my thoughts are with you and all of Uncle Joe's brothers & sisters. I am so glad you posted a photo of him holding a pike in Long Lac, Canada. I was fortunate to attend two of those trips and will never forget when Uncle Joe played the air guitar and sang a Hank Williams song to us one evening. I got to know him better after hearing his stories of family and friends, time in the military and fishing adventures as he shared them with me over the phone this past year or so. He loved his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. God bless you all and Uncle Joe. Steve

Joe has been a friend of ours for about 17 yrs. He will be greatly missed but I find comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and in Heaven as I hold on to memories and know one day I will see him again in Heaven. We enjoyed when he went to church with us. I will miss conversations with him. He loved going to the mountains. He was proud of his family as he shared pictures of them. It meant a lot to him that his grandson made a booklet recently for him of things that were put in the newspaper years ago like when he got married, when in military and etc. He shared about his trips fishing in Canada with brothers. He gave me Daily word booklets after he was finished reading to encourage me. I am thankful God led me to give Joe a book that contained scriptures of Faith to read as he was going through his trial. I am thankful that when he could no longer read it himself it was read to him to give him comfort along with the daily word book and played gospel music for him. I am thankful for the one that shared those things to me to give me comfort because I had been praying that God would give Joe comfort as he was going through this trial. Joe also gave me a couple of Crosses made at his Church for Easter out of palm leaves. Joe was a good friend and I look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. I am praying for his family and other friends that God will give them peace and comfort at this time knowing if they have excepted Jesus as their personal savior they will be reunited with Joe again in Heaven.
