Obituary of Adreff Drew McNew

Adreff Drew "A.D." McNew (85), of Kinard, Fl. passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at the Lodge Senior Living Facility in Warner Robins, Ga.  
A.D. was born in Blountstown, FL on October 19, 1935 to William Theobalt and Annie Lee Richards. She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" McNew Sr., both of her parents, and her sisters: Sandra Walton and Hathleen Theobalt. Survivors include her brother, Odreff "Bud" Theobalt; sister, Esther Devilbiss and her husband Wayne Devilbiss; and sister, Annie Mae Horine. She is also survived by her children, step-children, and their spouses: Georgette and her husband Stanley "Sandy" Walko; Sarah and her husband, Bruce Dees, William "Bill" Jr. and his wife, Robin McNew; Marilyn and her husband, Jerry Core; and George and his wife, Sandra McNew. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A.D. spent 18yrs working in the lunchroom at Blountstown High School and upon her retirement spent her remaining years of good health caring for the elderly in their homes or as their advocate during nursing home care. She loved hosting family get togethers at her home in Kinard and was an avid collector of cookbooks, dolls, and cookware. She loved her kitties, but of all the pets she ever had, her dog Blackie was her most beloved. In her later years, she resided with and was cared for by her daughter, Sarah and son-in-law Bruce, enjoying various crafting projects, goat farm visits, shopping, and traveling with friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Family and friends are invited to come for visitation at 1pm.
