Obituary of Renie Bartlett Wardrip

WARNER ROBINS, GA- Renie Bartlett Wardrip, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 12, 2020. A memorial service scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 3:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
Renie was born March 7, 1963 in Fort Valley and was adopted by the late Walter and Melrose Bartlett. She was a hostess at Longhorn's in Warner Robins, an usher at the Macon Coliseum, and waitress at the diner where she met her late husband, Bill Wardrip. Renie loved music, motorcycles, her family, and volunteering at Elam Alexander where her son attended elementary school.. She was always ready with a listening ear and open arms to anyone who needed it, especially her children's friends who called her "Mom". Renie loved animals, especially her cat, Opie. She had a special appreciation for veterans and always greeted them with the words, "Thank you for your service." She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Renie is preceded in death by her husband, Bill and son, Daniel McLeod.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Ashley McLeod, and son, Brandon McLeod; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Renie McLeod; her grandson, William Donald Simmons; her best friends, Earlene and Kurt and a host of others, and her ex-husband Robert A. McLeod, Jr.
