Obituary of Paul Allen Carson

Byron, GA-Paul Allen Carson, 79, gained his heavenly wings and is no longer suffering on Monday, June 1, 2020. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2020 2:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Saturday from 12:30PM to 2:00PM before the service. Reverend Don and Reverend Christa Shepherd will officiate.
Paul was born June 8, 1940 in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Andy Birt Carson and Eunice Bell Knowles Carson. He was a hardworking man who retired from manufacturing from Bassett Furniture. Paul was a very gentle man who loved his family and to tinker with cars, take a walk with his boy Joel, and fish. His family will treasure the memories of his mischievous antics. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
Paul is survived by his wife of 52 years, Myra Carson; his daughters, Kimberly Minix of Warner Robins, and Amber Carter (Michael Carter, Jr.) of Bonaire; sister, Jane Mercado of Byron; grandchildren, Andrea and Alyssa Minix, and Joel Carter; two great grandchildren, Liam and Logan Railey; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the  Alzheimer's and Dementia research of Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
The Family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for their compassionate support and especially Registered Nurse Sarah Stuckey for her kindness and care for their loved one during his final moments.
